Susa is the easiest solution for a stop & go during your itinerary. On the Fréjus motorway (A32 Turin-Bardonecchia) a handy exit if you come from Turin and two exits if you come from France lead the travellers to the centre of the city.

The Mont Cenis pass is open from the half of May to the beginning of November and it’s restricted to light traffic only. You won’t find any truck or big tourist buses on the road, which is restricted to local traffic and tourists. Susa is the last Italian stop before scaling the French Maurienne.
Whereas open throughout the year, the Col de Montgenèvre is the best way to reach the South of France.
The Colle delle Finestre, characterized by 8 km of dirt road, is open approximately from May to October and gives access to the legendary Assietta military road, open to the motorised traffic from June to September, with restricted circulation on the days of Wednesday and Saturday during the months of July and August and in occasion of some local festivals.
